This is one of my favorite pieces in the entire show. It is moody and darker than most of the other pieces, but I love the richness of the purple and navy against the bright lily pads. My favorite thing, though, you can’t see until you are up close. Rilee has built up the paint so it almost has a three-dimensional quality. I love this textural aspect of the work and the depth it adds to this piece. Come see this piece for yourself in the Gallery!
